EVENT - Free tool Marking road show

Nottinghamshire Police is teaming up with DIY store Wickes in a joint initiative aimed at reducing the risks of having high-value tools and equipment stolen.

Members of the public, including the trade, are invited to attend one of the participating stores to have their tools uniquely marked by officers.

The marking of such property makes them less attractive to thieves to steal and often helps police identify the lawful owner should they be lost or stolen.

The event will take place on Friday 17 February at six Wickes stores across the county. Simply attend one of the below stores between 10:00am and 2:00pm with your property to get it marked:

· Arnold – Mansfield Road, Daybrook (NG5 6HP)

· Bulwell – Springfield Retail Park (NG6 8AJ)

· Mansfield – Chesterfield Road South (NG19 7AP)

· Nottingham - Riverside Retail Park (NG2 1GW)

· Sutton in Ashfield – Station Road (NG17 5HF)

· Worksop – Babbage Way (S80 1UJ)

Special Constables and Cadets will also be in attendance at each of the locations to offer pre-crime and security advice.
